Get more dependable performance with safer handling of parallel tasks

Also listed as: Safer parallel task handling

What is it?

Xelence will run work that happens in parallel, meaning several tasks at the same time, through one shared and controlled mechanism, so each task keeps the right connection and session details.

Why does it matter?

When tasks run side by side without a common approach, they can occasionally pick up the wrong connection or session details, causing intermittent errors that are hard to trace.

Fewer intermittent errors and steadier performance as workloads grow.

Getting it into your solution

  • Needs an upgrade to the Xelence release

What this means for your upgrade

Start thinking about

  • Does your solution include custom code that runs tasks in parallel?
  • Have you seen intermittent errors under heavy load that were hard to reproduce?
  • When would a move to Xelence 10.0 fit your release calendar?
