Report on data from other systems and summarize it in pivot tables
Also listed as: Reports from APIs/JSON + pivot tables
What is it?
Xelence will be able to build reports from data returned by other systems through an API, a standard way for systems to exchange data, including data in the common JSON format. It will also offer pivot tables, which group and total data by the categories you choose.
Why does it matter?
Reports today draw mainly on the Xelence database, so data held in other systems is often copied into spreadsheets and summarized by hand.
More complete reports in one place, and quicker summaries without spreadsheet work.
Getting it into your solution
- Needs an upgrade to the Xelence release
- Needs configuration
- Needs implementation work
Start thinking about
- Which outside systems hold data your staff report on today?
- Which reports are rebuilt by hand in spreadsheets as pivot tables?
- Who owns access to the outside data sources you would connect?
