Connect workflows to AI agents
Also listed as: AI-agent integration hooks
What is it?
Xelence will provide connection points so AI agents can take part in workflows. An AI agent is software that can carry out multi-step tasks. In a workflow, an agent might handle a step or hand work back to a person.
Why does it matter?
Workflows are built around people and fixed system steps, with no governed way to bring AI agents into a process.
A controlled path to try AI agents on suitable steps, within the same process rules and audit trail.
Getting it into your solution
- Needs an upgrade to the Xelence release
- Needs implementation work
Where people stay in control
Agents act only within limits your team sets. People approve anything outside those limits and can review everything the agents did.
Start thinking about
- Which workflow steps could an AI agent help with, and which must always stay with people?
- What approvals and limits would you require before an agent acts in a workflow?
- What rules apply in your organization to using AI agents?
