Create accessible letters in more than one language

Also listed as: ADA-compliant, multilingual templates

What is it?

Xelence will support correspondence templates that meet ADA accessibility expectations, so people using screen readers and other assistive tools can read them, and that can be produced in more than one language.

Why does it matter?

Letters that are hard to read with assistive technology, or only available in one language, can leave some constituents unable to act on important notices.

Correspondence that more constituents can read and act on, with less separate work to produce accessible and translated versions.

Getting it into your solution

  • Needs an upgrade to the Xelence release
  • Needs configuration
  • Changes how your team works

What this means for your upgrade

Start thinking about

  • Which notices are most important to offer in accessible and translated form?
  • Which languages do your constituents most often need?
  • Who will review translated and accessible templates before they are used?
