Trace APIs, workflows and triggers on dedicated dashboards
Also listed as: API, BPM & trigger tracing dashboards
What is it?
Xelence will add dashboards that trace API calls, business process management (BPM) workflows and the triggers that start them, so support teams can follow each one step by step. BPM tracing will also feed application performance monitoring (APM).
Why does it matter?
When a workflow stalls or an integration fails, finding the cause can mean digging through logs and a lot of back-and-forth.
Faster diagnosis of process and integration issues, with less time spent searching.
Getting it into your solution
- Needs an upgrade to the Xelence release
- Needs configuration
Start thinking about
- Which workflows or integrations generate the most support requests today?
- Who in your team should have access to tracing dashboards?
- How long should trace data be kept under your records policies?
Terms used on this card
- API
- A defined way for two software systems to exchange data or request actions from each other.
- Application performance monitoring (APM)
- Tools that measure how an application is performing, such as speed, errors and load, so problems are found before users notice.
- Business process management (BPM)
- Designing, automating and tracking the steps of a business process, such as who approves what, and in what order.
- Tracing
- Recording each step a request takes through the system, so support teams can see exactly where something slowed down or failed.
