Get AI suggestions for improving your AI instructions

Also listed as: Prompt-engineering assistant

What is it?

Xelence plans to add an assistant that suggests improvements to prompts, the instructions that tell an AI feature what to do. It builds on the guided instruction writing and shared instruction library in Xelence 10.0.

Why does it matter?

Getting good results from AI depends on well-written instructions, and that skill is not yet common on most teams.

Better-performing AI features with less trial and error, and less reliance on specialist knowledge.

Generative AI Services and Xelence AI Engine work together. Building AI and running it explains which does what.

Getting it into your solution

  • Needs an upgrade to the Xelence release

What this means for your upgrade

Where people stay in control

The assistant only suggests changes. People review and test them, and a change is used only after someone publishes it.

Start thinking about

  • Who on your team will write and maintain AI instructions?
  • How will you test a suggested change before it reaches staff or constituents?
  • What review should a change to AI instructions pass before it is published?
